Thanos in SMTU 2

Thanos seems to have SMTU 2 in a different place than Silver Surfer.

Note that the fact that (in RUNE/SS and CPU 4/2) I proposed moving RUNE/SS 1 out of the way only makes the problem simpler.


There are are only 3 other noted chars in SMTU 2. The surrounding apps of Mad Thinker and Quasimodo are sufficiently far away to have no influence on the question. The only possible direct deciding factor is the Ben Reilly Spider-Man, but I can't find any smoking gun in his chronology.

Meanwhile SS:DA only has 1 other important char Galactus. His chronology's

confirms that SS:DA should be precede SS3 104.

But in SMTU 2 Surfer states that it follows his encounter with an Outrider probe (within SS3 111-122 as discussed in Starmasters 1-3, Thor 491-494, CPU 4-5 & Silver Surfer 111-122). So the evidence is mounting that SMTU 2 should be later than SS:DA.

Consulting Frank and Michel's global chronology files I see that they both agree that SMTU 2 is later than SS:DA, and therefore that that is the order of Thanos' apps (Michel explicitly, Frank implicitly).

So it only remains to move SMTU 2 for Thanos after SS:DA. His next app after those is beyond this region.
