Dr. Octopus in ASM 155

We have Dr. Octopus listed as appearing in ASM 155. This is a mistake. He appears nowhere in the issue and a footnote in ASM 156 lists his last appearance as ASM 154.

Isn't that a cameo on panel 8 page 6? It looks suspiciously similar to Ock's look.

Just to make sure we're talking about the same page- do you mean the drunk guy sleeping against the sign post? He looks too skinny to be Dr. Octopus.

Yes, it's exactly the same look that the mysterious individual who later turns out to be Ock has in all his appearances in these issues.
I also always identified him as Doc Ock in this issue as well.

The counterargument is that (a) Olshevsky's Marvel index didn't think the drunk was Octopus, (b) Octopus had a different looking hat than the drunk, (c) Octopus was said to be in the Bowery and the drunk is in the Lower East Side (although they do border each other) , (d) the footnote in issue 156 said Octopus's last appearance was in issue 154 and (e) Octopus was wearing a trench coat and the drunk wasn't. Also, in issue 157, Ock tells Peter that he hasn't been able to remove his mechanical arms since his encounter with Hammerhead in issue 131 but the drunk doesn't have arms attached to him.
