Marvel Zombies Destroy! is the last miniseries of the "first wave" of Marvel Zombies' miniseries. It's starring Howard the Duck as an A.R.M.O.R. agent, recruiting Dum Dum Dugan alongside various characters from '40s comics (or their heirs) for a mission in an alternate reality against zombie nazis.

SYNOPSIS:
Dum Dum Dugan is recruited by Howard the Duck (with a letter written by the President of the USA) for a mission for A.R.M.O.R.: they have to guide a task force of heroes in an alternate reality where the zombie plague spread during World War II, and the zombie Nazis are planning to invade other realities. They shift reality thanks to the power of Taxi Taylor, but they are immediately attacked by zombies, who kill Gur. Once they land, they are surprised by the Zombie Invaders, who kill Breeze Barton.

NOTE:
Howard is wishing his girlfriend to call him back, so it's should take place during a time he's not living with Beverly. Dugan is an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., so after the end of Secret Warriors Vol. 1. He's working with S.H.I.E.L.D. during Captain America vol. 6. Given that all members of Ducky Dozen are A.R.M.O.R. agents, they could be from alternate realities, like Breeze Barton. I am referring above all to Eternal Brain, which should be dead after Marvel: The Lost Generation, but for now, I'll assume that he survived in some way.

FLASHBACK: in Earth 12591 Baron von Strucker led an expedition to Tibet, where a Black Lama gave him a black flower, fertilized with the remains of asgardian gods, that generated the zombie plague once he returned to Germany and gave it to Hitler.

SYNOPSIS:
The Zombie Invaders, except Bucky, are wiped out by the Ducky Dozen and the Suffragist, a group of female survivors superheroes, but Red Raven and Dynaman are killed. Miss America is wielding the SHIELD of Captain America, which is missing in this reality. Together, Ducky Dozen and Suffragists go to meet with Zephyr Zog, a human scientist that developed the reality-shifting device for the zombies but wants to defeat them. They had to run when a squad of Zombies SS came, led by Bucky and zombie Dum-Dum Dugan.

SYNOPSIS:
Zombie Dugan is searching for Zog but finds the human Dugan. He's saved by Howard and Libertas, but he's furious with Howard because he didn't tell him about his zombie counterpart. The heroes take a train to go to destroy the zombie's reality hopping device, but they are attacked by a zombie Valkyrie, that kills Zog. Columbia fights with Brunnhilde and other valkyries, killing them but also getting bitten. She chooses to stand on the top of the train and crashing against a tunnel, killing herself before the transformation. Then Loki appears aboard the train.

FLASHBACK:
Zombie Thor and other zombie asgardians pursuing Loki (after the following flashback). Odin came to Earth to deal with the zombie plague, but get bitten while fighting the Invaders, and soon the zombie plague spread in Asgard.

SYNOPSIS:
Loki explains to the rest of the Ducky Dozen how he is to blame for the zombie outbreak and why he is being pursued by undead Asgardians. The train is ambushed by zombie Thor and other asgardians. The Ducky Dozen hide in a magical trunk, but Loki disappears. Dugan disguises himself like his zombie counterpart to infiltrate a Nazi castle and search for the reality-travel device. Some asgardian attack the other heroes, killing Dragoon, while Red Skull rallies an army of zombie asgardians ready to travel to Earth 616. The heroes rush inside the castle, finding the nazi device guarded by the zombie Thor's goats.

Captain America of Earth 12591

SYNOPSIS:
Toothgrinder e Toothgnasher kills Blazing Skull, Flexo, and Libertas, while Loki teleport Miss America and Dum-Dum Dugan to a weapons facility, where they can find an atomic bomb that could destroy the nazi headquarter and the reality-travel device. They are ambushed by Thor and other Nazis, but Miss America succeeds to launch the bomb. Zombie Bucky jumps on the bomb to stop it while taking off, so Miss America jumps in turn, knocking Bucky down and riding the missile. Loki is bitten by Thor but sends off Dugan to the rest of the Ducky Dozen.
Surrounded by Nazi zombies, Eternal Brain orders Riveter to destroy his protective hood. The contained brain grows out of all proportion, thus distracting the zombies and giving others a chance to escape. In search of a vehicle with which Taxi Taylor can use his powers, the survivors enter a cold room that contains the remains of Captain America, which Red Skull kept to feed on a little at a time.
As the bomb strikes, killing all the zombies and Miss America, Taxy Taylor transports the cold room to the A.R.M.O.R. of Earth 616, welcoming a zombie-free reality to Riveter, while Captain America's corpse opens its eyes.

My understanding is that the Eternal Brain of this story is the Eternals' Uni-Mind (from another Earth). I guess we'll never know.
And Taxi Taylor is a female, so a rather a niece than a nephew.

Um, yes, it would make sense. In the last issue he tells his story in vague terms, and in fact it would seem to contradict that of William Carmody from Marvel: The Lost Generation.
I would therefore avoid adding this story to the original Eternal Brain and would refer to it as Eternal Brain II.

Ah, in Italian nephew, niece, grandson and grandaughter all translate with the same genderless word "nipote", and so I still make some mistakes when I write in a hurry!
