Canonicity of Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1

Post by wolframbane »

Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1 (1939) was published by First Funnies, Inc., rather than Timely Comics. The characters of Sub-Mariner and American Ace were later published in Timely Comics, and became canon in the Marvel Universe. Has the other characters and stories from Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1 ever been made canon in the MU? For example, the Wasp (Burton Slade) appeared in MPFW #1, but later was reprinted in Silver Streak Comics #1 (1939) from Lev Gleason publishing.

I'm not aware of the other stories being reprinted/followed up on in Timely/Atlas/Marvel comics like Sub-Mariner and America Ace were.
