High Evolutionary between Thor 425 and 472

When Roy Thomas picks up the Thor title, he writes a flashback where the High Evolutionary has recovered from the events in Thor 424-425, Sept-Oct 1990, and decides to return to Earth. Because the High Evolutionary appeared in WLOCK&TIW 3 & 4 (Apr-May 1992) and Thor 448/2 - 450/2 (Jun-Aug 1992), the flashback in Thor 473 was broken in two parts (between pages 12 and 13). However I think it should be broken between pages 10 and 11 or placed entirely after T 450/2.

The sentence on Thor 473's page 10 "His combined psychic and psionic processes have largely repaired the ravages wrought by the newborn Celestial" can easily fit after WLOCK&TIW 3 & 4 and Thor 448/2 - 450/2. In WLOCK&TIW 3 (the issue closest to Thor 425) High Evolutionary still suffers from witnessing the birth of a Celestial. He still seems unhinged in T 450/2.

WLOCK&TIW 3 & 4 and Thor 448/2 - 450/2 take place in space whereas on page 11 of T 473-FB, High Evolutionary decides his fate is to return to Earth. He's also facing a rebellion from Tagar and Nobilus on pages 11-12 but they are still loyal in T 448-450/2. Both of these argue against the current placement.

I think the footnote in 473 about T 425 was misconstrued as meaning the flashback starts right after T 425. But WLOCK&TIW 3 & 4 and Thor 448/2 - 450/2 show that the mind of the High Evolutionary is still affected by the newborn Celestial in 1992. (And Dark Reign: Sinister Spider-Man 2-FB shows the High Evolutionary still acting oddly, arguing for it to be placed before T 472.)

To conclude, the T 473 flashback should be broken between pages 10 & 11 or placed entirely after T 450/2.

I agree with both of you.

Thor #473(10:3-12), the initial part of the flashback set in space, is a continuous scene which ends with High Evolutionary setting out for Earth and leaving Nobilus, etc behind. WLOCK&TIW #3-4 and Thor #448/2-450/2 are set in space and Nobilus, etc are with him and so must be earlier. (The Nobilus, etc loose end will get tied up in Thor #482.)
