MGN Ka-Zar Guns in the Savage Land

As I recall the problems with the Guns in the Savage Land MGN included (but were not necessarily limited to):
1a) The various tribes of the Antarctic Savage Land basically kicked Ka-Zar and Shanna out, having decided they don't need a jungle lord...
1b) Wyatt Wingfoot takes Ka-Zar and Shanna to a heretofore never seen and never since referenced section of the Savage Land that exists, of all places, beneath the United States desert in Nevada or Utah (one of the western states where atom bomb testing used to occur) - I think this was the clincher on why the MCP agreed this one was non-canon.
2) pro-modern world/technology (as per Ka-Zar the Savage in the 80s and the later 90s Waid/Kubert revival) Ka-Zar is very anti-modern world/technology in the GN, whereas anti-modern world/technology (again, as per the above) Shanna is pro-modern world/technology in it. A complete 180 degrees turn for the depiction of both characters.
3) the book ends with Ka-Zar and Shanna separating for good. With Ka-Zar in the new Savage Land Shanna returning to civilization. Subsequent appearances by both characters never mention their separation and, indeed, in their "next" appearance, they are together as if nothing ever happened to separate them.
1) What it says is that the tribes rejected his rule but he never was an actual ruler anyway. Maybe they did not want him as intermediary to the UN and he took it badly.

1b) We see them going through Subterranean caves. It's entirely possible that Subterranea connects Nevada to the Antarctic (cf. Fantastic Four 1 page 22, Mole Man finds the entrance to Subterranea in what looks like Antarctica, & X-Men 63 page 10, "The world below is honey-combed with caves [...] reach[ing to] the Savage Land"). Yes, Wyatt's instruments say he's a thousand kilometers below Nevada but also that he's traveled 20 hours of air time. Guess what? The flight time from Las Vegas, Nevada to Antarctica is 18 hours, 30 minutes. https://www.travelmath.com/flying-time/ ... Antarctica
His instruments may not be able to function properly underground and may have been stuck since his departure (such instruments depend on a connection to satellites, which would not go through underground).

2) The cover and frontispiece and story all depict Ka-Zar with a modern gun and Shanna with a traditional bow, which are in-character. The stance of both characters, especially Ka-Zar, has tended to shift in the past. In the 70s he was anti-technology (read his rants in Astonishing Tales #19-20). As noted in the MGN story Ka-Zar is not in his right mind.

3) Is it really a new Savage Land? Both Ka-Zar and Shanna recognize the smell when they reach it. Also Ka-Zar and Shanna have separated before.

In short, the reasons for assigning a non-canon status seem very superficial. The name Kyle, which was made canon, does come from this story.

Note: In M/S-H3 5/5 Wyatt and She-Hulk are a couple. Given M/S-H was a vehicle for unpublished stories, it is likely the story takes place earlier than the publication date, I'd say earlier than She-Hulk Ceremony 1. It really seems out of place after their separation in SH:C 2. But I'll stick to one topic at a time.
