Overstreet has been the go-to reference guide to comics the longest. Because of Overstreet, certain Golden Age comic book titles are assumed to have "comics" in the title when they actually don't.
I've been getting Golden Age Marvel Masterworks through interlibrary loan recently, and I've noticed that Human Torch, Sub-Mariner, and Young Allies do NOT have "Comics" in the title either on the cover or the indicia (exception: the first two issues of Young Allies say "comics" on the cover but not the indicia). The Masterworks include all the house ads and the indicia, and they can also be seen on [Best not post links like that here - mod]. They are all fronted with "The" on the cover but not the indicia. This is not the case with Captain America Comics, which oddly calls itself volume 2 in addition to having "Comics" in the title.
It might be difficult logistically to change the abbreviation in the chronologies, but changing it in the key should be relatively easy.
