Cat-Man Comics vol. 3 #1 (Jun 1942)

I am only covering the Volton story, since the rest of the issue is not 616.

4th Story:

Synopsis:
Prof. Peters tests his new lightning gun invention and it works, reducing a metal block to dust. When he tests it again, his assistant Volk aims the gun at him and kills him, planning to blame the other assistant, Metz, and steal the plans to give to his superiors (Volk is a Nazi agent). Volton senses the use of the device from his hideout on top of the Empire City Building and arrives to see the murder. He fights a couple thugs hired by Volk but captures them and Volk, who confesses. Metz arrives with the police and Volk is arrested.

Note:
This story is unbelievably rushed, especially on the last two pages.
