Each 2nd story (presented as a "Marvel Age tale") typically takes place in a specific decade around a real world event. Those are the stories I will analyze.

The story takes place during the early space race, between the launch of Sputnik (Oct 4, 1957) and Explorer 1 (Jan 31, 1958). Doom is already a monarch.

Issue 4.
Spider-Man and Gibbon on May 25, 1977, for the release of Star Wars.
Per Mike's Amazing World, ASM 171 reached stands on May 10, 1977.
Spectacular Spider-Man 9 was released on May 24 and starts a two-part story. In this story University President Dwyer announces that the night classes at ESU will be discontinued, and student protests break out. Late May seems to me an odd time for announcing classes will be discontinued. Unless things used to happen differently at ESU, classes are over this late so PPSSM 9 does not take place in late May.

Issue 5
The story takes place in November 1989. For Excalibur, it takes place during the Cross-Time Caper (Excalibur 12-19, released from May to December 1989). The issue released in November 1989 is #18. The costumes worn are from #16-17 so the story takes place between #17 and #18. Note that Claremont went by release date and not cover date and that's also my approach. (Sabretooth and Irene Adler in this story are from a parallel world.)

Pages 1-5 Deadpool launches a comic company. (Date: 1991)

Deadpool appears on Comic Book Day 1991 in a story referencing the comic book trends of that time. So this is around his early appearances between NM 98 and XFOR 5. (Note: Free Comic Book Day only started in 2002 but the Comic Book Day mentioned might be a local initiative.)

The story occurs over enough time for a boom and bust cycle. The comic book crash was circa 1994. The last part (pages 8-10) occurs a few years after the first pages based on the characters present: The character Century first appeared in Force Works 1 (Jul 1994), Death's Head II in Death's Head II #1 (March, 1992), Nightwatch in Web of Spider-Man #97 (February, 1993) and had his own series in 1994-95.

Since those second stories in M/CP3 are about putting characters in real events, I need to follow actual history and put pages 8-10 circa 1994 rather than in 1991. I place them after Deadpool's second limited series. It fits with Century's first appearance in 1994.
