Conan finds the slug, who telepathically tells Conan he’s been bringing people to his home dimension, which is a paradise.

NOTE:
An editor’s note says this happens between COB 12-13. Roy’s chronology puts it after SAVSCO 58.

Louise Jones (later Simonson) takes over editing with this issue.

-edit-
I've belatedly learned that this issue is a reprint of the Book and Record set "Conan the Barbarian: the Crawler in the Mists" (1975). Crazy!

In Berthalia, Conan learns there’s a reward for a queen who’s been abducted by a wizard. He gets permission from the king and finds the wizard’s mountain. Conan climbs up the mountains side, evading various traps. He defeats the “old wizard” only to find he’s Queen Gywhella’s lover in disguise. They tell Conan their story. Conan allows them to stay together and warns the king that if he doesn’t leave the wizard alone he’ll put a curse on him. Conan is paid and he wanders off.

She gives him a demon arm for 20 gold pieces. They happen across some slavers and free their slaves but Fafnir’s new arm kills one on its own. Meanwhile, the witch and her conspirators (the defeated thieves from earlier) watch from afar; she make Fafnir’s new arm kill one of the slave girls. Fafnir prepares to chop off his new arm but the witch commands it to kill Conan before he can do it. They fight, the witch teleports to the fight to have better control over the arm and Conan smashes her amulet, which turns her to dust and Fafnir’s arm disappears. The thieves attack, Conan kills one and the slave girl kills the other; she understands they’re the reason her friend is dead, not Fafnir.

Roy’s chronology places #84, 93 & 104 in a block right before COB 5. #116 & 117 both happen after COB 162 in Roy’s chronology, but not in a block. I’m not seeing any members named in any of these stories at a glance.
