What music/songs/bands do you associate with certain comics.

I always thought that God of Thunder by Kiss should have played over the end credits of Thor, instead of that song they played, which i've completely forgotten.

Queen has some great anthems that would go well with comic books or movies. Also The Who, Alice Cooper, and Pink Floyd.

I always have music playing on my pc while i'm reading comics, but i mostly just have some of my favorite albums playing. I pretty much like anything by The Angels, John Fogerty, George Thorogood, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Barnes, Joe Cocker, Icehouse, Eric Burdon, Mark Seymour, & Tom Petty.

Here's a few that i keep coming back to at the moment:

The Angels: 40 Years of Rock (but then i've been seeing these guys live since around 1979, and they still tour regularly in Oz)
The Black Sorrows: The Chosen Ones (Frontman Joey Camilleri can be heard playing sax on just about any Oz album released over the past 40 years)
QSP: Quatro, Scott & Powell (An overlooked album by Suzi Quatro, Sweet's Andy Scott, and Slade's Don Powell)
Eric Burdon: My Secret Life & Soul of a Man (a pair of albums Eric released in 2004 & 2006)
John Fogerty: Revival (2007)
Mark Seymour and the Undertow: Roll Back the Stone (One of Oz's best storytellers in song)
Doobie Brothers: World Gone Crazy (2010)
Icehouse: White Heat (A best of collection. Frontman Iva Davies is a multi-instrumentalist & has also done music for a number of Oz films)
Cold Chisel: The Perfect Crime (2015)
Alice Cooper: Paranormal (2017)

There are some great Oz singles that deserve a mention, and are probably not well known up north..

AC/DC: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Rose Tattoo: We Can't Be Beaten
The Screaming Jets: Better
Brian Cadd: Bulletproof
Russell Morris: The Real Thing
Spectrum: I'll Be Gone
Chain: Black and Blue
Daddy Cool: Eagle Rock
Jeff St John: Teach Me How to Fly
Noiseworks: No Lies
John Farnham: You're the Voice
Mental as Anything (aka The Mentals): The Nips are Getting Bigger
Madder Lake: 12lb Toothbrush
Daryl Braithwaite: Rise
The Triffids: Bury Me Deep in Love
Uncanny X-Men: 50 Years
Dragon: April Sun in Cuba
Stevie Wright: Evie
John Paul Young: Yesterday's Hero
Flash and the Pan (Harry Vanda & George Young): Down Among the Dead Men
The Mixtures: Captain Zero
Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs: Most People I Know (Think That I'm Crazy)

Sorry if i've gone on way too long, but i'm at least as passionate about music as i am about comics!

Next time you're reading a Namor story, listen to "Wet Dream" by Kip Addotta.

I'm making this recommendation ON PORPOISE.

 Man, that Kipper has Sole! The mid-eighties was a great time for intelligent comedians. Over here we had something similar, Australiana by Austen Tayshus. It's filled with puns based on Australian place names, animals and icons. Still gets played occasionally on our local radio station.

If you're ever reading anything where Night Nurse appears, play Night Nurse by Gregory Isaacs, although i prefer the cover version by Simply Red.

You are not the only one, I do the same. In my Pattaya estate I have a special small room where I have everything related to comics. This is where I go when I want to enjoy reading it.

Theme song for V4 22.. "Keep the Fire Burnin" by REO Speedwagon. Slightly different take on the lyrics than intended, i'm sure.

Accidentally found this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lbRAyo96z0

and even though it's not the original, it still brings to mind Uncanny #242's big smooch two-page splash.

I wonder whatever happened to that lady (gaga)?
