GALACTIC GUARDIANS #1 (July 1994)

FLASHBACK:
Wonder Man tries to rally the remaining heroes during the War of the Worlds. Iron Man is drunk and plans to shoots his technology into space. During the last battle, Wonder Man is teleported away by Vision. Vision tells Wonder Man the earth is a lost cause, but Wonder Man demands to be sent back to Earth anyway. When he gets back all the heroes are dead.
SYNOPSIS:
Main Frame tells the Galactic Guardians he’s having more trouble with his systems so he’s taking himself off-line. Phoenix will power the planet’s machines in the meantime. While Firelord and the Spirit of Vengeance patrol the planet, Replica shrinks down and inspects Main Frame’s circuits. Hollywood continues to search for Dr. Doom until he’s suddenly teleported away. Replica finds a mass of bacteria inside Main Frame and takes a sample. Hollywood learns he was teleported away by Main Frame, nut he’s now in one of his old android Vision bodies. Hollywood attacks Main Frame. Meanwhile, Silverback attacks Asgard.

NOTE:
Ganglia was responsible for Main Frame’s previous trouble in GOTG 47, so he’s -BTS there.

2nd Story:

FLASHBACK:
Before the War of the Worlds, humans unleashed Sentinels against the mutants. Led by Magneto, most of the surviving mutants leave Earth, but Magneto is killed on Jupiter’s moon Europa by Apocalypse, giving the other mutants a chance to escape. During the mutants’ search for a new planet they pass through Shi’Ar space. Wolverine fights Gladiator and loses a claw, but the mutants eventually find a planet. After Wolverine leaves, Wolverine’s descendants are ruthless rulers. Recently, Giraud becomes Phoenix.
SYNOPSIS:
Uilig tells the history of the 691 universe (continued in GOTG@ 4!).

GALACTIC GUARDIANS #2 (August 1994)

SYNOPSIS:
Silverback battles Woden until Woden teleports them to Earth. Replica becomes infected by the sample she took. While on patrol, Firelord and Spirit of Vengeance are attacked by Hazmat. Woden continues to battle Silverback. Tarin and Old Redd notice the seismic activity generated by their battle. Hollywood and Main Frame’s fight is interrupted by a shape ship crashing near them. The alien inside, Savant, attacks them, steals their memories and makes them fight each other. Replica’s infection gets worse until she vomits out a creature who calls itself Ganglia.

GALACTIC GUARDIANS #3 (September 1994)

SYNOPSIS:
Spirit of Vengeance defeats Hazmat, but Hazmat is revived by his boss when the Spirit of Vengeance leaves. Martinex battles Ganglia. Savant makes Hollywood and Main Frame beat each other up until they pass out. Savant’s boss tells him it’s time to leave. Woden defeats Silverback and leaves. Silverback is revived by his boss. Spirit of Vengeance and Firelord defeat Ganglia. Ganglia is revived by his boss. Spirit of Vengeance reverts to his normal form to check on Replica, but she wakes up and throws him out of a window. Hollywood catches him and spirit of Vengeance attacks Replica. Main Frame takes control of his systems, freeing up Phoenix just in time for Ubiquitor and her soldiers to attacks the Galactic Guardians.

GALACTIC GUARDIANS #4 (October 1994)

FLASHBACKS:
Main Frame dispatches another one of his android bodies, which revives Main Frame and Hollywood. They teleport to Sarka in time to rescue the Spirit of Vengeance (during last issue).
SYNOPSIS:
The Galactic Guardians quickly defeat Ubiquitor’s soldiers while Phoenix battles Ubiquitor. Woden arrives and helps Phoenix defeat Ubiquitor. Savant is brain dead and will be shipped to Stockade, the prison planet. Hazmat has been separated into his base chemical compounds. Ganglia and Silverback are dead and Ubiquitor is apparently destroyed.
