NOTE:
This is mainly a retelling of Marvel Super-Heroes #18 with some extra details and an added bonus: Starhawk was behind it all, manipulating events ensuring the Guardians met up!

Even though Nikki and Talon are watching a recording made by Vance, none of them know about Starhawk’s involvement.

Vance says here that his powers first manifested when he met Yondu whereas M/TIO 69-FB says they first manifested while he was travelling through space. Vance tells Drang that he lied about the space thing and they really came about during the Yondu thing. He gives some malarkey about it being illegal for Centaurians (natives) to attack humans (colonists) and somehow him lying about his powers was protecting Yondu; why when his powers came along matters I have no idea. If Yondu was going to get into trouble for attacking Vance, why wouldn’t they just not tell anyone about it? What do his powers have to do with anything? Is this supposed to fix some inconsistency about Vance’s powers that I don’t know about? That’s what it smells like…
