Major Victory (Vance Astro) is a future version of Justice (Vance Astrovik), right?
So why are their last names different? Did Major Victory shorten it or something?

Re: Vance Astrovik/Vance Astro
So should Major Victory have Vance Astrovik as his real name and "Vance Astro" in quotes as an alias?

Re: Vance Astrovik/Vance Astro
Technically, I suppose so. Thing is, he's only really ever called "Astrovik" in the context of meeting Justice - he was introduced as "Astro", with "Astrovik" as a retcon. Plus, "Vance Astro" was also his de-facto codename until he lost the containment suit and adopted the "Major Victory" name to go with his new Cap-esque costume in GOTG 20*. At the very least, it should be done in the same way as Wolverine, who has "Logan" before James Howlett.
On a similar note, while we're on the GotG's names, it's always bugged me that Aleta is listed only as "Starhawk II", when she was only called Starhawk for a fairly brief time...
*Which, in one of the plots derailed by Valentino getting punted off the book, was meant to be a short-term thing. He would have lost the shield, name and Cap-style costume while in the past, going back to his previous costume without the mask and calling himself "Major Astro".

And in another effort to make the name more normal, it was later revealed that Vance's grandfather was named "Astroyevicht" back in the old country.
