FLASHBACKS:
Dr. Strange is an arrogant surgeon until he crashes his car and ruins his hands. Still arrogant, he learns of the Ancient One and sets off to find him, determined to fix his hands so he can return to his old life. The Ancient One offers a different life to Dr. Strange and begins to train him in the mystic arts.

SYNOPSIS:
Dr. Strange meets his realtor, Patrick Lamb, in Greenwich Village. Patrick shows Dr. Strange a house he's been having trouble selling and relates it's history: this is the seventh house on this lot, the previous six were destroyed, most of them by fire. Satanic cults have performed sacrifices here and a native shaman cursed the land. Dr. Strange agrees to buy the house and stays the night. He immediately notices strange occurrences and investigates. He finds a room filled with his old friends who offer him drinks. Not having had alcohol in years, he dismisses the party as an illusion and continues on. He sends his astral form out and finds himself in an extra-dimensional realm, where he meets the demon causing the disturbances. Strange casts a bolt of bedevilment on the demon, but it only makes the demon stronger. He chases the demon to his physical body and stop it from killing him. The demon's master Tyanon makes her presence known and attacks Strange. During the battle Strange realizes that Tyanon is blind, and can only see through her demon slave. He blinds the demon and banishes Tyanon from this realm. Strange then captures the diminished demon and locks it away. Afterwards, the Ancient One contacts Dr. Strange and congratulates him on cleansing his new home.

NOTE:
I’m not that familiar with the details of Dr. Strange’s origin, and I’m not sure if there’s any new information here. I’m pretty sure these are all reminder flashbacks, though.

Also, this thread points out that this story expands on DRSTR2 56-FB.
