FLASHBACK:
A prince gave his lady magic armor which would preserve her soul until they consummated their love. She was raped and killed by highwaymen, so the prince is sponsoring a scavenger hunt to get the magic armor back.
SYNOPSIS:
In Numalia, a drunken blowhard won’t leave Red Sonja alone, so she kills him. She then learns of a scavenger hunt and decides to participate, joining with Freyda, who knows where the pieces are hidden. Days later they join Bumala and Khita, who are fighting a stone temple giant; when it’s defeated they get the helmet. Days later they join with Sieglinde and fight a dinosaur; Khita is eaten and they find the shield when the dinosaur is killed. They find the breast plate and girdle but Bumala is killed by snakes. Sieglinde kills Freyda and leaves with all the armor, except the sword that Sonja has. Sieglinde takes the armor to the prince to claim the prize. The prince tells her to wear the armor and reveals his lady (Analee) is mummified in the basement. He casts a spell to bring Analee’s soul back in Sieglinde’s body; Analee kills the prince, never having loved him in the first place. Sonja arrives, fights Analee and kills her. The mummy jumps up, revealing herself to be Sieglinde, transferred from her own body. Sonja refuses to kill her, feeling this is a suitable punishment.

NOTE:
Numalia is in Nemedia, and Sonja is wearing an outfit she hasn’t worn elsewhere (it’s a half-armored bathing suit with leggings, basically). The cover shows her wearing the chainmail bikini fighting Conan, but this doesn’t happen in the story.

I wonder if Glenn Herdling is a Stone Temple Pilots fan.

Sieglinde asks if Sonja's vow also applies to women; Sonja doesn't exactly answer (but she does stab her through the chest).

Sonja is in Nemedia here, and starts in Nemedia in RS3 1. Seems like as good a place as any for this to go.
