SYNOPSIS:
As war nears between Argos and Koth, Conan is recruited by the Argossean magistrate to transport a wagon of weapons to an outpost to help his forces. Conan spots an ambush by bandits and prepares to fight it but discovers the wagon is loaded with treasure instead of weapons. Conan makes it through but his caravan is killed (except one, whom he kills when he turns treacherous). Soon after Conan comes across a broken carriage (an aristocrat & his wife, a merchant, a bride of Mitra) and offers them a ride. They’re attacked by bandits and are forced into a temple of Set. They’re attacked again by Argos soldiers who are looking for a traitor in the group Conan picked up. A Set worshipper reanimates some demons of Set; they’re eventually defeated. Conan out the merchant as the traitor and wanders off.

NOTE:
Roy’s chronology places this after COB 231, specifically between SAVSCO 101 & SAVSCO 66.
