FLASHBACK:
“A few years back,” Basqus the Butcher slaughters Hispans during a revolt. Soon after Canon wanders through and hears all about it (6:2 - 6:3). Later, Basqus the Butcher changes his name and becomes a pirate (6:5). “Four years ago,” Conan is pirating with Black Roj and finds a treasure, but they’re attacked by Conquadores. Conan hides the treasure and flees (7:4 - 8).
SYNOPSIS:
While pirating with the Barachans, Conan’s boat is attacked. Everyone’s killed but him, and he’s taken captive. To bargain for his life he tells of a nearby island where a treasure is, but it’s actually filled with murderous natives. Conan and the head rival pirate eventually team up and defeat the natives (and a giant snake). Conan declines a ride back with the pirate and wanders off into the island to wait for different pirates to eventually arrive.

Roy’s chronology puts the main story between SAVSCO 206 & SAVSCO 73.

Conan says he was lying about details of his previous visit to the island, but he was there so I’ll still place the flashback. According to Roy’s timeline, Conan would be in his mid-30s here. “Four years ago” he would be in his early-30s, so around the time of SAVSCO 211/2-212/2 (that works because he had already done some pirating; this is past COB 275 and he was pirating with Bêlit before COB 100). Looking through Roy’s chronology, he returns to pirating around M/GN:COR, and rejoins a group in SAVSCO 38; between those sounds good for (7:4 - 8)-FB. “A few years back” would be about a year after that, give or take. This happens in the “Zingaran province of Hispan.” Turan is just north of Zingara (and they share a bit of a border), and Conan arrives in Turan in SAVSCO 189/2; according to Roy's chronology there’s a gap of unrecorded adventures right before this, so it looks like a pretty good spot for (6:2 - 6:3)-FB.

SYNOPSIS:
Conan enters Arenjun looking for a map that was stolen from him. He finds a spy being tortured and intervenes, but he’s knocked out during the fight. Conan’s awoken by Sassan, who tells him the torturers had his map but he knows where they’re going. They’re attacked by the spy’s people and are forced to team up with the thieves; everyone dies but Conan, Sassan and Kyras. They make it to the end of the map, following the trail of the Bloodstained God to its temple. Sassan is killed by a booby trap. Zyras turns on Conan and is killed by the spy and his master. When the spy recognizes Conan he turns on his master and dies. The Bloodstained God comes to life and kills the spy’s master. Conan defeats the Bloodstained God then wanders off.

The intro page for this story says it’s shortly after COB 38, and Roy’s chronology puts this between SAVSCO 210 & COB 40.
