Re: Marvel stories set in 616, produced outside the US
It was niggling at me, and I knew there was a problem with placing H2 279 between Daredevils 4 and 5. This is the only available gap in the Jaspers storyline - in DDS 5 Captain Britain is captured by the Special Executive, goes to the Hub for Saturnyne's trial, returns home a few hours later, gets i...

Re: Marvel stories set in 616, produced outside the US
You're right. I'd forgotten that the Hulk's pardon got referenced. So yes, barring time travel or imposters, neither of which would have any evidence to support them, it's got to be after he returns home at the start of Daredevils, and Hulk #279 simply depicted the wrong costume.

Marvel stories set in 616, produced outside the US
At Jeph's suggestion, I'm bringing a disucssion to the MCP that I began on the Index lists. There's been a number of stories produced in countries outside the US. While some are not 616 (X-Campus, Hulk manga, either Spider-Man manga, etc), there are others which are part of 616 continuity, and some ...

Re: Agents of Atlas
Fair enough - I hadn't checked the MCP listing, so I didn't realise the non-616 Human Robot had been given his own listing. As for the retcon wiping out Menace #11 as an option for 616 Human Robot, you are probably right. I was going from memory of the two stories, rather than properly checking, whi...

Re: Agents of Atlas
In fact, he shouldn't have WI? listed at all, as that's now been proven to be an alternate reality story. Even Menace is questionable, since the origin story depicted there has been somewhat retconned, though perhaps not enough to push it out of 616 canon.

Re: miscellaneous minor misplacements part 4
11) The only characters from T@12 listed in the MCP are Vidar, Solveig and Hoder. The recent Thor index has much more characters, including Thor and Odin, placed in between T 340 and 341 : Thor, Odin, Horvald, Grolf, Aslak, Hakon, Otny, Frigga, Thurnhild, Hugin, Munin We're revising that placement....

And tying it into movies is why the next volume will be Howard the Duck, Man-Thing and Power Pack.Russ Chappell wrote:In the last two installments, three characters coincided with movie releases (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America). And Avengers isn't too far off.

Re: Range of Influence of Marvel Time
So far, the only "official" explanation I've read is that Galador "apparently exists under a different rate of time than Earth." This is an idea that just makes me cringe inside. And if ANNIHILATORS does reference SPACEKNIGHTS, then not only will the poor continuity of the earli...

Re: Range of Influence of Marvel Time
If only Earth or near Earth was subject to the sliding timescale, then the Skrulls would not have encountered the First Line post-1980 when they tried to invade.

Re: Misty Knight and Colleen Wing in DHKF 32
This reminds me - there's a Misty Knight appearance (of sorts) missing from the early part of the chronology, though I'm not sure exactly where it fits off the top of my head. Marvels 10th Anniversary Edition had an issue epilogue text sequence following Gwen Stacy's demise and Green Goblin's impale...

Re: Thor: Blood Oath
Can anybody recommend an insertion point for the Thor: Blood Oath miniseries? Since Absorbing Man appears in it, it has to be at least after JIM 114 and the latest point can be no later than JIM 124, since Index #2 indicates that Hercules' appearance in Blood Oath precedes his appearance in JIM 124...

Re: Balder's early history
It's got to be at least long enough for him to have healed from his battle, and he didn't really have any battles to need surgery between being resurrected and Latveria - so we go back to Asgard. Has to be before Ragnarok - while he might have needed surgery during that, he'd have had no time to he...
