You can check A 175, where is reavealed that Thor is plucked from the timestream to aid the Avengers when needed. But there aren't any indication about from when is plucked.

Uhm... There is a problem with Thor, if is the classic Thor and not Eric Masterson, if the panel in issue 6 is meant to be contemporary to that story.
