Re: Secret Defenders 1-3 and more

The placement of DHAWK@ 3/2 is difficult for reasons explained here: http://www.chronologyproject.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7848 The essential point is that the only time where Dormammu is ruling the Dark Dimension after 1981 and before Strange utters the Emancipation Incantation in Doctor ...

Re: SECRET WARS to CIVIL WAR II

There's a pretty narrow window for a flashback with X-23 and Loki to take place, if you assume that Loki is in his own body and not Sif's. Wolverine and X-23 first meet in X-Men 450. Loki dies in Thor 85, published the same month, and when he comes back, he's in Sif's body- he doesn't get his own bo...

Re: CIVIL WAR II to SECRET EMPIRE

The only issue is that Phoenix Resurrection seems to suggest that the Phoenix is gone from the Earth permanently after the end of that series. I guess it's possible it left a shard of itself in Quentin until GENX 86-87.

Re: Placement of X@2 1/2 (1992)

Except that Omega Red had been dead for years at the time of X-Men 4- the Hand use their "dozens of men sacrifice their lives to revive someone" trick to bring him back in X-Men 4. And Omega Red had never fought the X-Men. Moreover, the plot to X-Men 4-7 hinges on Wolverine being unable to...

Regarding Mardi Gras, to quote fnord at the supermegamonkey website, "it's always Mardi Gras in New Orleans in the Marvel Universe".

Re: CIVIL WAR II to SECRET EMPIRE

Fisk is still technically mayor. Matt is acting mayor during Fisk's convalescence. The story hasn't fully unfolded yet in DD, so we don't know how it ends, although i'm admittedly an issue or two behind the times due to shipping. I'm assuming (and i know i shouldn't) that Fisk will recover and resu...

Re: CIVIL WAR II to SECRET EMPIRE

The Black Cat appears as a crimelord in the Venom Inc crossover- and she quits being a crimelord in those issues AGAIN. Venom Inc is definitely after Secret Empire- the Secret Empire issues of Amazing Spider-Man are 29-31, and the Venom Inc issues of Amazing Spider-Man are 792-793. (Amazing Spider-M...

Re: CIVIL WAR II to SECRET EMPIRE

Ha - yes, indeed. Even exposure to super-powers. In fact, Aunt May seems to be getting younger. Must be a side-effect from her blood-transfusion with Spidey. Although i have a theory that Aunt May was originally drawn as young Peter saw her in his mind's eye, as in to a 15yo, everyone over 30 is re...

Re: Avengers #22 or Fantastic Four Annual #3

It's not a flashback- Thor doesn't interact with any of the other characters in this issue. Non sequitur. Thor's lack of interaction with other characters has no bearing on whether or not it's a flashback. What I meant was this- if Thor interacted with Hawkeye on page 2 and then appeared on page 15...

Re: Avengers #22 or Fantastic Four Annual #3

Count me in the "not a flashback" camp. It's not a flashback- Thor doesn't interact with any of the other characters in this issue. And it's not intended to be taking place in the past. It's a separate plot thread that later chronological analysis determined was taking place in the past. W...

Re: Avengers #22 or Fantastic Four Annual #3

It's clearly intended to be taking place at the same time as the rest of the issue- according to the narrator,it's why Thor can't show up for the main plot. Olshevsky decided it was a flashback in the Avengers Index 1.

Re: Placement of Punisher/Black Widow: Spinning Doomsday's Web

A 350/2 is clearly supposed to take IMMEDIATELY before IW 1- as in, a couple of hours before at most. So it would be better to move Spinning Doomsday's Web before that.

Re: Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk (1981)

I assume that Peter was proctoring it in his role as a TA, right? Peter starts his job as a TA in Spectacular Spider-Man 32,which we currently have placed before ASM 194. So that works. There's just one catch. Peter's working at the Daily Globe at this point. Are there any references to the Daily Bu...

Re: Spider-Man and the Incredible Hulk (1981)

The complicating factor is that we need to find a time when both the Kingpin and Sandman are evil. The Kingpin retires from crime in Amazing Spider-Man 197 at Vanessa's behest, and doesn't return to crime until Daredevil 172. Meanwhile, Sandman gets merged with Hydro-Man in Amazing Spider-Man 217-21...
