Re: For Those Wanting a List of Physical Custom/Promo Comics

How about these oldies? I'm not entirely sure if they're really all from Marvel, but that's how they're listed at mycomicship.com. 1945 Captain Marvel and Billy's Big Game 1948 Blackstone and the Gold Medal Mystery Johnny Starboard and His Underseas Pirates Return of the Black Phantom Tex Farnum, Fr...

Re: For Those Wanting a List of Physical Custom/Promo Comics

I don't think I saw the following in the list. Did I just miss them? 1976 The Amazing Spider-Man vs. the Prodigy 1977 Magazineland, USA 1978 Pow! Biff! Pops! 1979 The Gamma Gambit [toilet paper] Special Edition: Spider-Man vs. the Hulk [Columbus Dispatch] 1980 Captain America and the Campbell Kids 1...

Re: Did "War of the Worlds" occur on Earth-616?

What about Marvel Classics Comics #14? Is it 616? 691? Neither?

Cable pals with Colonel Bravo?

I just recently read Youngblood/X-Force #1 and was puzzled by a couple panels. Some of the members of X-Force and Youngblood break into a holding cell on the Image Earth to rescue several people who are being held there, and one of them is Colonel Bravo. When Bravo sees Cable, he shouts out "Ca...

Re: Amalgam Character Chronologies

Extras Part 2: There's a group of time-traveling villains in Spider-Boy Team-Up #1, and it's not clear which Earth (if any) of the three that appear in that story is the home Earth for them (or even if they're all from the same Earth). Here are those characters' simple chronologies: AGAMOTTO EXPRESS...

Re: Amalgam Character Chronologies

Extras Part 1: In Spider-Boy Team-Up #1, Spider-Boy travels to two different alternate futures. These futures are labeled Earth-12772 and Earth-97061 (at least, according to marvunapp: link ; I haven't checked to see if these designations have shown up in a handbook). Here are those (repetitive) cha...

Amalgam Character Chronologies

Here's my attempt to write up chronologies for all of the Amalgam characters. I hope I've gotten all of the formatting and naming conventions for MCP right. I should point out a few complicating factors with some of these chronologies: 1) There's nothing to the internal content of the stories to ind...

Re: Thor's Chronology

Yeah, some of titles and numbering for those 40s and 50s series is weird and convoluted. Patsy Walker is mostly just listed as "Patsy Walker" in the indicia, but there are a few issues that randomly add "Comics" in the indicia (but not the cover). My favorite for weird is Best We...

Re: Some Stories Missing from MCP

Cool, I hadn't heard that Planet Terry had shown up recently. Regarding the X-Babies storyline, I'm aware of it, but unless I just didn't understand the story, it wasn't entirely clear if it established that the earlier Star Comics stories were 616 or if they were just in-universe fictions. The hand...

Re: Some Stories Missing from MCP

Oops. I had in my notes that I had planned to list them with that last batch of issues rather than the earlier bunch, so I didn't look at that earlier chunk of stories.

Thor's Chronology

Thor's chronology is missing his behind the scenes appearance in Justice vol. 1 #19b. I should also point out that what y'all have labeled in the MCP Key as Justice vol. 1 is really vol. 2 (the New Universe series from 1986-9).

Re: Some Stories Missing from MCP

I just realized I forgot to include the following Star Comics series, which have been referenced in the handbooks as 616:

Planet Terry
Royal Roy
Top Dog
Wally the Wizard

Re: Stan Lee (Earth-616)

Oops, forgot to mention that Stan appears in My Friend Irma, too, but since that's a licensed character, I'm not sure if that should count as 616 or not.

Stan Lee (Earth-616)

Stan's chronology is missing some appearances:

Amazing Adult Fantasy #12
Astonishing #4d
Kid Colt Outlaw #107
Mystery Tales #24f
Suspense #29d
Tales of Suspense #33
Tales to Astonish #20
