So either after he resumes wearing his blue and yellow costume in 1990 or before X 139.
Wolverine mentions a vacation, he's very familiar with Sauron so after X 113-116 and possibly after Marvel Fanfare 3-4 (but by then he had his brown costume). Garokk's appearance in UX 149 refers to X 116 and makes it difficult (not impossible) to insert this story. There is a break in X 129 where could be placed the Wolverine vacationing in Australia story in the 75th Anniversary special. The vacation could extend from Australia into the Savage Land.
I'm not familiar enough with the post 1990 chronology of Wolverine, Sauron and Garokk to make a proposal for this later period.

It is impossible that it is after Hickman's Avengers (which start after AVX) and before Utopia (which is sunk during AVX). Plus Magik has the costume she starts wearing with Cyclops' Uncanny X-Men after AVX.

However, it is not easy to find a time when Wolverine is alive and collaborating with Magik (while she is wearing that costume). I think the only option really is just before Mars is colonized by Krakoa in House Of X 1 (3:4).

Indeed, it may have been this Wolverine mission to Mars that gave rise to the idea of using the planet to grow krakoani flowers.

In W:BW&B 1, Logan mentions he was made to fight "wolves, bears and some men who were like me", so after M/CP 77, 79 and WX2 24-25. I would put W3 14 here because the humans in WX2 24-25 were innocents and we need "men like Logan" in that sequence.

In W:BW&B 1/2 Fury and Wolverine fight Hydra in an Eastern European country, which they do also in Wolverine/Nick Fury: Scorpio Rising, except Wolverine's costume is wrong (yellow & blue version with the epaulets). So either insert it there (between pages 27 & 28) or find a better spot.

In W:BW&B 1/3 Wolverine sports a jacket from the Morrison era and says "been to the Savage Land more times this year than I've been back up north" During the jacket era he's only once in the Savage Land in XU 48.

For W:BW&B 3 I tried to place the story with other stories involving Mariko and Silver Samurai, such as W:DB and W2 55-57 but that did not work out. Then I looked for places where Wolverine is already in Japan and found W2 33.
