SYNOPSIS:
Arkon makes his way across the floating island Weirdworld in search of Polemachus, but he’s captured by water-apes. Meanwhile, Morgan le Fay sends some Magma Men out to teach Arkon a lesson.
NOTE:
There’s a little more to it than this (ogres, a dragon, etc.), but that’s the gist.
WEIRDWORLD #2 (September 2015)

SYNOPSIS:
In a dungeon, Arkon meets Warbow and they break out together but Arkon loses his map. Warbow says if Arkon helps him find his friend, he’ll give Arkon his map. They storm Morgan le Fay’s castle and find Crystarr’s corpse in the treasury. Arkon realizes Warbow is insane as they’re surrounded by Magma Men.

FLASHBACK:
Soldier Jim Scully is accused of murder and he’s being taken to the Thors. The plane finds itself lost in a sudden storm and it’s suddenly flying toward Weirdworld.
SYNOPSIS:
Arkon and Warbow escape, but Arkon thinks Warbow’s map is gibberish. Meanwhile, Morgan le Fay sends for Skull the Slayer to take care of Arkon. Arkon finds a tavern and meets Skull the Slayer and the two fight, eventually ending up in the Forest of the Man-Things.
WEIRDWORLD #4 (November 2015)

SYNOPSIS:
Arkon and Skull the Slayer are captured by the Swam Queen and her Man-Things. She forces them to face their fears; Skull comes out regretting his past actions but Arkon runs away, finally remembering where Polemachus is. He gets to the edge of Weirdworld but sees nothing. In despair, Arkon decides to commit suicide not realizing Polemachus is right below him underneath Weirdworld.
WEIRDWORLD #5 (December 2015)

SYNOPSIS:
Arkon decides not to kill himself, and then he’s attacked by Morgan le Fay. The Swamp Queen arrives with her own army and Arkon is SHOCKED to see that Crystarr is alive. Everyone fights, and just as Arkon is about to reach Polemachus Battleworld explodes. Later on Earth-616, an airplane is lost in a storm near the Bermuda Triangle. It finds itself on Weirdworld where Arkon greets the passengers and tells them to run from attacking creatures.
NOTE:
Oh, poor hard-headed Arkon. He thought Warbow was insane, when actually Arkon just didn’t understand his biology and was unwilling to listen to the explanation. Just be a little inquisitive and listen to people, Arkon! Your life would be improved, I promise.
Fun mini! There’s a sense of momentum, and the plot’s moved forward each issue (even if things happen to slap down Arkon’s progress). Also, it’s nice to see Crystarr again.
The Man-Things are like the Mindless Ones here; an army of stupid creatures, and not really individual characters.
This Weirdworld is a mishmash of a bunch of dimensions: the original Weirdworld (featuring characters like Tyndall) is/was a dimension within Earth-616. Polemachus (where Arkon’s from) is/was another dimension within Earth-616. The place Crystar is from is/was yet another dimension within Earth-616. I’m seeing a pattern, here.
It seems as though these other-dimensional characters (Arkon, Crystar, etc.) are the classic versions. Great. Now, the exceptions!
Skull the Slayer was last seen in an alien dimension (in X3 19 or so), so it’s possible (and likely) he was still there when the multiversal collapse occurred and he got swept up into this Weirdworld business. However, there’s that pesky flashback showing he had to travel to Weirdworld from another Domain/reality which says to me that he doesn’t fit the pattern…
Jennifer Kale says here that she’s not originally from Weirdworld, but some other Domain (with cities) and traveled to Weirdworld. Again, that doesn’t fit the pattern, and as far as we know she was still in the Initiative (meaning, not another dimension) at the time of the multiversal collapse. Again though, I suppose t’s possible she was dimension-hopping at the time…
Morgan le Fay is from the past, and doesn’t have a history of dimension-hopping (that I’m aware of). I’m not even sure how this would fit in her chronology if it was the 616 version.
All three of these characters show up post-Secret Wars in either Weirdworld v2 or Squadron Supreme v4, and there’ll all this version. And look at that! WWORLD2 6-FB shows this Morgan le Fay has a different history than the 616 le Fey.
A lot of this was left ambiguous and up to interpretation, so obviously your mileage may vary. We may get clarification in some future comics, though (like WWORLD2 6 did for le Fay).
